Strasbourg University Hospitals Success Story
The building of the logistics centre is part of the Strasbourg University Hospitals’ modernisation plan originally drafted in the late 1990s: to modernise logistics by grouping the main functions (central warehouse, pharmacy, purchasing, culinary production central unit, transport, garage) on a unique and single site.
The Aldata Warehousing (Warehouse Management System) and the Aldata VDW (Voice-Directed Warehousing) solutions were deployed for the management of the entire warehouse.
The Strasbourg University Hospitals have professionalised the management of their central warehouse and their pharmaceutical product flows by establishing a logistics centre equipped with the latest technologies: WMS, vocal, RFID, 1D or 2D bar-codes...
Used effectively, they guarantee product traceability in compliance with regulations whilst reducing stocks and ensuring a better availability of the products required by the 650 patient care units.
